Velocity RDA Clone Review

I've had the Velocity RDA clone for a few weeks now so I figured its time for a review.

First off my setup:

Sigelei 100W+ regulated box mod
Sony VTC5 Batteries
Velocity RDA Clone by Tobeco
Dual macro coils, .2ohms @ 70 watts

So after hearing all the hype about this RDA I decided to put the Darkhorse aside and try this thing out. This is my 17th RDA which have all been clones and I was legitimately going to buy my first authentic RDA with this Velocity but they were out of stock for awhile. Alas, the clone it is. I got my clone from ecigcity for about $22 shipped.

First impressions:

Building on this thing is the easiest I have ever had. The posts being on the sidea with the large holes for the wire are amazing. Huge gap in between the posts makes positioning the coil very easy and is great for airflow.

It has a massive juice well and easily the largest on an RDA I have ever had. I had to leave my cotton tails much longer before cutting them in order to appropriately have enough wicking material down in the huge juice well. Definitely a plus.

Easily the best airflow versatility of any RDA I have ever owned. Between the large side air holes that are adjustable and the smaller multiple holes that you can easily close off or open, this thing has air flow down. I can have it wide open for massive clouds or easily close them off to get the flavor. Top notch air flow.

Flavor. Like stated earlier the flavor depends on airflow but its very easy to set this thing up for flavor.

The huge drip tip that comes with it is just big enough that you can drip through it instead of having to take the top cap off, but not overly large. I do wish that it was a little bit longer but this may just be a fault of the clone design.

It has a notch on the top cap and a tab on the lower base. This does two things. One it makes it so your air holes are always properly lined up over your coil. Secondly, it holds the RDA in place whenever you are adjusting airflow so you don't accidentally unscrew it from your mod. Really great addition and I can see it becoming a standard for other RDA's.

Now the downsides:

I'm not sure why but for some reason it constantly leaks out of the smaller secondary air holes. At first I thought I was dripping too much juice inside, or maybe my coil/cotton setup was causing it but after multiple builds and dripping cautiously it for some reason continuously leaks juice out of those holes. It isn't because of angle or the way it sits in my pocket, just standard vaping. I thought that maybe it was because of condensation over time but it still does it right after I have cleaned it out. Still trying to figure out why it does this but its highly annoying having to wipe the outside of this thing every 4-5 pulls.

Would I buy an authentic:

This RDA is definitely the best one I have owned on multiple facets. The leaky side holes, while annoying, isn't a make or break deal for me. Everything thing else about the Velocity is not just top notch as well as standard setting in my eyes. I would absolutely drop the $115 to make this my first authentic RDA if they ever had any in stock.
